In a decisive enforcement action, officials from the Lagos State Waste Management Office (LSWMO) and the Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) task force conducted a joint operation at Westbrook Mall on Thursday morning.

The crackdown follows repeated contraventions by the mall’s management, including the violation of a State Government Seal Order on two separate occasions.

During the operation, 24 individuals were arrested and are set to face prosecution. The facility was also resealed, reinforcing the government’s commitment to upholding state laws. Additionally, the mall will be required to pay all applicable fines as stipulated by Lagos State regulations.

Authorities have reiterated their stance on maintaining order and ensuring strict compliance with environmental and commercial laws, emphasizing the state’s  Zero Tolerance Lagos policy.
