The All Progressives Congress, APC, Nigeria’s ruling party, is set to hold its 2026 National Convention in Abuja this weekend.
The event is scheduled to be held between March 27–28, 2026, at Eagle Square, Abuja, with over 8,453 delegates.
Screening of aspirants for National Working Committee (NWC) positions was scheduled for March 24, 2026.
The Convention is an elective convention where the party will elect or affirm members of its National Working Committee (NWC).
It follows a series of lower-level congresses (ward, LGA, state, and zonal) conducted earlier in 2026. The event is expected to reinforce party unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
