    Labour Party caretaker committee asks AGF to arraign Abure, three others over alleged corruption

    Labour Party national caretaker committee has called on the Attorney General Of the Federation to immediately arraign the embattled Labour Party chairman, Julius Abure and three others for corruption charges in court within seven days as directed by the Inspector General of Police.

    Factional leaders and the caretaker committee of the Labour Party requested the Anthoney Geral of the federation to arrange the embattled Labour Party Chairman, Julius Abure over several alleged corruption allegations.

    The ground could not state specifically the allegations against Abure during its call be has said that a few powerful people within and outside the party have decided to side with Mr. Abure to delay the calls for his criminal trials.

    The Labour Party has been enmeshed in several controversies including criminal allegations against its chairman since the party lost the 2023 Presidential election.

    At the moment, the party’s Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi in the last election has been said to be speaking with other political parties in the country to realise his ambition.
