The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has applauded the bravery and resilience of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) personnel during a visit to the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI in Maiduguri. Addressing troops on the frontline, the CAS stated, “Your sacrifices are etched in the history of this nation, and in the hearts of millions who sleep safer because of your vigilance.” He reaffirmed the importance of airpower in neutralizing threats and pledged continued investment in technology to support ongoing operations.

The visit, which featured direct interactions with airmen and briefs from commanders on recent operational gains, underscored NAF’s resolve to maintain dominance in the battlespace. Air Marshal Abubakar, accompanied by senior officers from HQ NAF, also emphasized the need for sustained public support, noting that national defence is a shared responsibility driven by unity, leadership, and the selfless service of NAF personnel.
