2027: Fintiri, Mbah,Mutfwang, Fubara may decamp to APC soon

The national working committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed July 24 for a national executive committee (NEC) meeting to nominate a new national chairman for the party.

The former national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje resigned from his position last Friday and resignation thereafter.

Felix Morka, national publicity secretary of the APC, said the resignation would enable the former governor of Kano to attend to “urgent and important” personal matters.

Following Ganduje’s exit, his deputy from the north, Ali Bukar Dalori, assumed leadership of the party in an acting capacity.

Festus Fuanter, the deputy national secretary of the APC:

“As you are all aware, the National Executive Committee is the apex body of the party. And so, whatever it is that we do now, including the endorsement of the National Chairman, must also receive the blessings of the NEC,” he said.

”And during the meeting, if they so desire that a new chairman is nominated, we’ll also accept such nomination and then wait for the convention where the final position of the party will be made as far as the substantive chairman is concerned.

“So that’s as much as I can tell you. And the date, the suggested date for the NEC meeting is the 24th of July, 2025. It’s going to be here in the premises of the APC.”
