    Police to commence training for 10,000 new recruits nationwide

    The Kogi State Police Command says hoodlums attacked its personnel on patrol along Okoloke-Pategi road, Egbe killing three officers.

    Police Public Relations Officer Kogi State Police Command says the hoodlums emerged from the bush and attacked the team when they arrived for their routine patrol.

    Consequent the Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Miller Dantawaye, ordered the deployment of tactical team comprising police mobile force, counter-terrorism unit, anti-kidnapping, intelligence and quick response units in working synergy with other security agencies to restore normalcy in the area. They are to trail the hoodlums with a view to apprehend and bring them to book.

    The CP further tasked the deputy commissioner of police, investigation department to commence investigation into the incident.

    The CP calls on the good people of the area to assist the police with credible information on the identity of the hoodlums to enable the police trail and apprehend them.
