    Kaduna police recovers 210 rounds of 7.56MM ammunition on Funtua highway

    The Kaduna state Police Command says it has recovered a sack containing about two hundred and ten (210) rounds of 7.56mm ammunition after receiving information that a sack was thrown off a moving Volkswagen Golf.
    A statement by DSP Mansir Hassan Police Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna command, indicates that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Samaru and his team received a report from the public that occupants of a commercial vehicle a black Volkswagen Golf, suspiciously threw a sack out of the vehicle in motion at Dogo Itace axis, Samaru, Zaria.
    The patrol team swiftly moved to the scene and found the abandoned sack on the ground.
    The Dpo alerted the other DPOs along the road up to Funtua, for possible arrest of the vehicle and the occupants but to no avail due to the delay in information.

    The statement adds that the Commissioner of Police, RABIU MUHAMMAD, calls on the public to remain vigilant and continue to provide timely information to the Police. He assures that a full-scale manhunt for the fleeing suspects is already underway and reaffirms the Command’s unwavering commitment to proactive policing and the protection of lives and property across the state.
    The commissioner further warned the criminals to stay out of the state, or they will face the full wrath of the law.
