The City Boy Movement, United Kingdom Diaspora Chapter, convened a high-level executive meeting in London, bringing together key leaders, stakeholders, and political figures to strategise and coordinate preparations ahead of the forthcoming historic State Visit of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the United Kingdom.
The meeting was led by the Director, City Boy Movement UK Diaspora Prince Bidemi, and had in attendance the National Director-General of the City Boy Movement Mr Francis Shoga and the SA to the President of Nigeria on Social Media Dada Olusegun alongside members of his management team, who are currently in the United Kingdom in preparation for the presidential visit.
Deliberations focused on strategic planning, diaspora mobilisation, and diplomatic engagement frameworks aimed at ensuring a well-coordinated and impactful participation of the movement during the President’s visit, a landmark engagement widely regarded as unprecedented in the history of Nigeria-United Kingdom relations at this level. As part of the proceedings, letters of appointment were formally presented to members of the United Kingdom executive team, reinforcing the movement’s organisational structure and operational readiness within the diaspora.
The meeting also had in attendance notable leaders, including the South-South Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, Senator Wasiu Eshinlokun of Lagos State, and Hon. Tunde Doherty, the APC Chairman, United Kingdom, alongside other key stakeholders.
