Wife of wife of Prof. Attahiru Jega, Hajiya Hadiza Attahiru Jega has passed away.

The family confirmed the development in a statement released on Sunday, 5th of April, 2026.

According to the statement, the Janaiza prayer will hold after Zuhr prayers at 1:30 p.m. at the National Mosque, Abuja.

The late Mrs. Jega was known for her support of educational and community development initiatives, particularly in the northern region of the country.

Prof. Attahiru Jega is a former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and a respected figure in academia and public service, widely recognised for his contributions to electoral reforms and livestock development initiatives across Nigeria.
