The Social Democratic Party (SDP)’s national secretary, Olu Agunloye has petitioned the IGP over a ‘plot’ to oust him as SDP national secretary of the party.

Sources say he petitioned Kayode Egbetokun, the inspector-general of police, over an alleged plot to force him to resign his position.

This is said to have been a move by members of the SDP loyal to El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna state who just joined the party, who are pushing for Agunloye’s resignation.

It will be recalled that the former Kaduna State governor few weeks ago decamped to the SDP with his loyalists from the ruling APC.
