    Hayatu-Deen

Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, a presidential aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has announced that he will not be attending the party’s presidential primary election result announcement over concerns about alleged irregularities in the exercise.

Hayatu-Deen said reports reaching him from across the country indicated widespread vote manipulation during the primary process. He also claimed to have personally witnessed some of the alleged irregularities.

“I will not be attending the announcement of the ADC Presidential Election Results today. I am concerned by reports from across the country of widespread vote rigging, some of which I myself observed, and will therefore be taking advice on my next steps,” he said via his X handle.

His position comes amid the ongoing ADC presidential primary contest involving former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi and Hayatu-Deen.
