Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Atiku resigned today through one of his media advisors on X, Paul Ibe, Media Adviser to Atiku Abubakar

”Abubakar disclosed his intention to leave the opposition party in a letter addressed to the PDP ward chairman in Jada, Jada LGA of Adamawa state”.

‘The former Vice President of Nigeria, from 1999 to 2007, Atiku Abubakar, has resigned his membership in the PDP, effective July 14, 2025.

Atiku is scheduled to officially defect to the ADC to continue the pursuit of his presidential ambition.
