Miguel Uribe, the right-wing candidate in Colombia’s 2026 presidential race, has been injured in an assassination attempt.
He was reportedly shot in the head, but is still alive for now, battling for his life at the hospital.
The 39-year-old senator, who was shot on Saturday during a campaign event as part of his run for the presidency in 2026, is now “fighting for his life”, his wife, Maria Claudia Tarazona, said on X.
