Enzo Fernandez is keen to leave Chelsea following their failure to qualify for Europe next season.
The 25-year-old Argentina midfielder, who joined from Benfica for £107m in 2023, is under contract until 2032. Chelsea are prepared to demand around £120m for the World Cup winner.
Despite remaining in the club’s plans for next season, Chelsea will listen to offers that meet their valuation. Fernandez scored 15 goals and provided 7 assists last season, finishing runner-up in the Player of the Season award.
His agent, Javier Pastore, is exploring options, with Real Madrid as the preferred destination. Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked, though PSG have downplayed interest and City are prioritising other targets.
Real Madrid are reluctant to meet Chelsea’s £120m asking price unless they generate funds through player sales.
Chelsea’s senior officials accept they must sign established, Premier League-ready players for new manager Xabi Alonso after a poor season that saw them finish 10th without a trophy.
