Nigerian Fuji Shanko Rasheed, has announced the passing of his first son Jamaldeen Atanda.

The singer took to his Instagram page on Friday to share that “no parent will pray to lose a child,” while praying for the eternal rest of his son’s soul.

He, however, did not tell what the circumstances and cause of Jamaldeen’s death were.

“So Sad no parent pray to lose a child in lifetime but Alhamdulilahi Jamaldeen Emrs Atanda JNR rest well, my champ. I will surely tell you all about it when I see you again. Omo Ola sun reeee,” he wrote.

“Happy Birthday to my amazing first son! !You changed my life the moment you arrived and continue to make me proud every single day. I love the young man you’re becoming,” he wrote.

“Watching you grow has been my greatest joy. Keep shining, keep dreaming, and keep being the incredible person you are.

“So proud of you” May your year be filled with laughter, growth, and endless blessings I love you forever Son.”

The loss comes just months after Shanko publicly celebrated Jamaldeen’s 12th birthday in December.
