The 2026 World Cup Final will feature a Super Bowl-style halftime show, said FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, which was announced as the venue that will host the World Cup final on July 19 2026, will showcase the inaugural halftime show.
Despite the halftime break lasting only 15 minutes in soccer, Infantino said that multiple artists will perform during the stoppage of play.
‘I can confirm the first-ever halftime show at a FIFA World Cup final in New York, New Jersey. This will be a historic moment for the FIFA World Cup and a show befitting the biggest sporting event in the world’ said Gianni Infantino.
No details have been given by FIFA or Infantino about whether the World Cup final will have an extended halftime to accommodate the show.
