An empty MACK tanker experienced a sudden and critical brake malfunction resulting in an abrupt loss of vehicular control and violently rammed into a Toyota Corolla before careening uncontrollably into a nearby roadside shop. The ferocity of the impact occasioned extensive structural devastation and generated palpable panic among pedestrians, traders and adjoining business operators within the corridor.
The tanker (EKY 900 XY) collided with a Toyota Corolla (AAA 823 AY). The magnitude of the collision led to the immediate confirmation of one fatality at the scene, while four other trapped persons were extricated from the wreckage through coordinated emergency rescue efforts.
The tanker driver reportedly absconded from the scene immediately after the occurrence an act unequivocally condemned by authorities. Security operatives have commenced coordinated efforts to apprehend the fleeing driver and ensure the initiation of appropriate legal proceedings.
